The first Easter Egg Hunt we did was at my Aunt's work. They do a great job putting on the egg hunt every year and give out really good treats. Amira and Ari weren't too sure about the Easter Bunny though, he wasn't a very good Easter Bunny, he lacked some excitement as you can see.
It was funny to see both of the girls trying to figure out what to do but they sure caught on quick. Amira even stole some M&M cookies out of her sisters basket. My mom came with us to the one that way I was able to help Ari, she helped Amira, and Ryan took video.
The second egg hunt we did was just down the street from us at North Ogden Park. It was a weird one, they only let each kid get one egg and then they went and turned it in for their prize which was either a box of robin eggs or peeps and then a boiled egg. Most kids and parents didn't understand the directions given and were grabbing tons of eggs. My grandparents were back from St. George, so they were able to join us. They really love seeing the girls do new things!
Back in February I found an Easter egg coloring kit that said it was a "no spill" kit. I thought that it would be perfect for two toddlers to use. The idea of the contraptions would have worked really well if I wouldn't have bought large eggs instead of medium.
The eggs were too big and would get stuck inside the containers so I would have to fish them out with my hand. By the end of this project, my hands looked like Easter eggs! They were still nice cause the girls could just drop them in and it wouldn't splash dye everywhere.
For our actual Easter celebration, the Easter Bunny left some fun gifts for the girls and we had a small egg hunt in the backyard.
Later in the afternoon we headed up to my Dad's house where my step mom and her neighbor joined forces to do the mother of all egg hunts for the grand kids and the neighbors niece and nephews. Together they hid about 300 eggs for I think 7 kids. Needless to say all of the kids made out with a lot of candy and even a little cash! It was a lot of fun and they have the perfect field above their house to do it in, I'm already looking forward to next years egg hung
After that stop we headed over to my Aunt Bonnie's where the girls were able to play with some of their cousins that they don't see too often. They were being so cute playing together, we were all just loving watching them laugh and play.
This was really a great Easter this year!
