Ari wasn't so sure about the sand at first. She cried when it covered her water shoes and wouldn't come off her hands. Even when she saw my legs covered in sand she didn't like it. So for the most part she would rather play on the blankets that were laid out or just hang out eating snacks and drinkings some juice.
Amira was the complete opposite, she loved everything that went with being at the beach. She built sand castles with Aunt Dibo, went on paddle boat rides with Nanny, and hung out on the blowup blue doughnut island with Aunt Meme.
After all of the playing, it was time to take a nap on the beach.
Ryan's favorite thing to do at the lake is to play Frisbee in the water. In the picture below, you can see the boyee out in the middle, we were able to walk all the way there and the water only reached our waist.
The lake has filled up so much more that when we took a paddle boat ride, Ryan just pulled us around.
Amira won a prize, I'm not sure for what. I think just being a little kid and she was so excited to unwrap it and find paint. She doesn't look happy here though because we were laughing at the red paint she got on her forehead.
We have a couple more Bear Lake trips coming up this summer with our friends so we are really looking forward to those.
