I'm 7 Months Old!

Amira turned 7 months old this past weekend and she is on the move. For the past month her main form of transportation was the "commando crawl" where she scooted around by pulling herself with her arms. About four days ago she started to crawl for real and has been zooming around ever since. She's even started to try and pull herself up to things, which I'm not quite ready for. Amira also has learned how to click her tongue on the roof of her mouth which is often the first thing I hear over the baby monitor when she wakes up.


Her favorite place to crawl is into her bouncy saucer which is also her favorite toy right now. She loves to play with all of the toys that's on the saucer and bounce like crazy. Capone isn't quite sure about the bouncing so her barks at her and she thinks this is hilarious.

About two weeks ago her bottom two teeth popped through and they are as cute as ever. In addition to teething we've been battling double ear infections. Amira has been handling it pretty well she isn't fussy it's really only effected her sleeping. I'm hoping we are almost through with giving her the nasty medicine that she quite often projectile vomits after taking. Poor thing.

We are also trying out baby food and cereal. So far it's not going so good at the end of a feeding session, I end up with most of the food on me from her spitting it out. Amira shutters, closes her eyes, and tightens her lips as soon as a spoon comes near her mouth even if the spoon has nothing on it. It's pretty funny but hopefully she starts to like something!
